December Beyond the Lines Art Show

I’ll be participating in my 3rd Beyond the Lines Art Show this weekend December 4-5 at Solar Studios in Glendale.

My cats are back as well as a new series of “Ice Cream 6 Ways”. Each ice cream drawing was colored with a different medium: Original Drawing Pen Illustration, Watercolor, Acrylic, 3Doodler Pen, Prismacolor Markers, and Melted Crayon & Cording.  It’s something that is better to see in person!  You can also see the making of each drawing below:

Sydtropolis at DesignerCon – Recap

DesignerCon was amazing!  I finally got to meet some of my Instagram people, met some NEW people, was invited to display my work at Outbreak Expo at Frank and Son in March, and my Star Wars customs will be going to be displayed for sale at Fan Alley in Anaheim!

The Mario Gallaxy Mega Munny also went to a great home.  The new owners were super stoked to have won it in the raffle.

I can’t wait for next year!

Lisa Frank Leopard Helmet Going Viral

I’m not sure what happened, but all of a sudden the video I posted of the 360 look at my finished Lisa Frank inspired Leopard Stormtrooper helmet has taken off! Over 7,000 views! I’ll be bringing it with me to DesignerCon so you can see it in person!

My First Booth!

I had been attending Designer Con for the past 3 or 4 years and always told myself “this would be a great place to have a booth if I ever decided to have one.”  I chickened out for two years and this year I’m finally doing it!  It’ll be my first booth EVER!

I’ll be at the Sydtropolis Booth #621 and will be raffling my revamped Mario Galaxy Mega Munny on Saturday.  Come check it out!

Crab Drawing Featured in Sketchbook World Tour Book

I received a notification on 2/25/15 that one of a drawing from one of my Sketchbook Projects would be featured in the Arthouse Co-op’s new book of art compiled from 333 sketchbook artists (I counted) around the world.  This sounded exciting!  I wondered what drawing they chose, and saw a mockup:

My crab drawing made it onto the cover!

You can order a copy of the book here.

My First Art Show!

I was invited to participate in a group art show my friend was putting together. I had never even thought my art was good enough to be in a show. The only painting I had that I thought might be appropriate was Space Bub. She said it would be perfect for the show! So now it’ll be in a show. I’m super excited, so come check out the Beyond the Lines Art Show.
